    In order to promote safety, the Office of the Fire Marshall of PA, and the National Haunters Convention & Halloween Show is offering this class at no charge. This class is FREE : Simply show up at the class at the proper time.

    For those interested, You WILL have the option to take the STATE test at the National Haunters Convention and you will be able to count this towards your PA license. This is an official PA state class

    How do the national codes and standards affect the operation of a haunted attraction? This presentation is designed to explore the national voluntary standards that have been adopted throughout the United States and give the participant a fundamental understanding of the codes and standards that impact the Haunted Attraction industry.

    This course will explore NFPA Part 70 The National Electrical Code, NFPA 702 Flame Propagation, NFPA Part 10 Fire Extinguishers, and NFPA 101 The Life Safety Code.

    This presentation will offer practical suggestions on code compliance, design considerations, and useful tips on keeping your insurance company and local fire marshal happy.

    It will also touch on various haunted attractions disasters and significant catastrophic events from January 1973 - March 2011. What went wrong lessons learned, and practical tips to lower the risk of a catastrophe in any haunted attraction. "Guaranteed to be the scariest presentation at NHC, because it's reality."

    PERSONAL NOTE: Home Haunters are allowed to sign up for this class as well as commercial haunted attractions. Even if you are a home haunter, you should sign up for this FREE safety seminar series !! Even home haunts should follow the same safety rules and guidelines that professional haunts must follow. Remember, we *NEVER* want to see a single guest get hurt.
