    smart phone credit card

I dint know this was possible..... Last year we had to say no credit cards because it was too late in the season to order and if we did order it wouldn’t be in, in time. But I’m also looking for some different cash registers that can do credit cards. Anybody know how they work? (Do you plug them into internet) or what?

I know blackberry as well as all the other smartphones (iPhone, Droid) are capable of this service. I've seen plenty of free credit card charging apps in the BB app store. You have to buy the swipe accessory & usually a merchant account along with it. Intuit offers the mobile swipe service. http://intuit-gopayment.com/gp/pricing-2232-1368BT.html

Not for a Haunt but I have used a few different models. The best is Square (www.squareup.com), it works great, has good customer service, and is FREE! If you don't have the time or the ability for a full set up it should work at you haunt. A word of warning (well a few words):

-Do you have good 3g or 4g coverage at your location? If not do you have a good WiFi network that you can get your phones on?

-Phones? Yes, Phones. I highly suggest that if you go this route you have more than one because they are a little slower than say a Verisign terminal. This is because your customer has to use the touch screen to type in his/her email as a signature and most people are still extremely slow with touch screens let alone new-fangled products like the interwebs

I hope this helps and good luck!

Yeah you plug it into your smart phone and it connects over your cell provider. They're very small.
