  • Blood Paint for Props

I'm looking for a good technique or product that can be painted on props but has a "still wet" appearance when dried. I have seen "perma blood" but never tried and not sure if there is anything else.

I use Perma Blood, good stuff. Anytime you put a blood looking substance down, try covering it with a high gloss clear polyurethane stain, it makes it shinny. I know that Nightscream was selling a blood paint at TW and Fright Props also sells blood paint type products. I use Schellac on beans, oatmeal, cereal, sawdust, etc... along with a blood paint and then cover it with a high gloss polyurethane, it looks great.

I love Pale Night's Perma-Blood (water-based) and sometimes I'll use Minwax/Polyshades-Bombay Mahogany (oil-based) for the old dried blood look.
