Ideas if you had this room setup?

What would you do if you had a room set up like this? 4 feet between each wall of walking space.

What is the actual size of the room it looks like you could have 2 rooms in there with some hallway, instead of just some random hallways. The room ideas would depend on the them of your haunt or the room prior and after that space. If you could give us more info we would be happy to help out.

With out more info I would say go sewer or the inside of crypt. tight passages completely arched cieliengs, one theme through out that then you add a situation to as the hall opens into or ends in the little rooms. If sewer the have a drain pipe with a gator in it, one area be infested with rats, another have tarman type zombies, another have toxic waste barrels being dumped in and scary three eyed fish attack them.

If its a crypt then you can have coffins falling through above them like the ground gave way (they would be under the coffins), a ghouls feasting on the dead standing on a giant bone pile, Black dogs (commonly associated with cemetaries) attacking the group at another area, lots of corpsified skeletons, and area like the italian bone room crypts but have the bone chandelier drop a bit to freak them out, the inside of a spiders lair, lots of webs and spider projections.

The world is your oyster, just stay away from sets that need scope.

It looks like a pretty far jump from black square to black square playing voo doo hopscotch of death over 8 foot deep of snakes, skeletons, knives and saw blades.

Ceiling supports? Real posts? Holding up the room? If they are, good place to tie the sticks of dynamite.
"Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick!" Lights on, there's massive charges set to go off burying us under tons of rubble, Barney?
How do we get out of here?
Paint numerous black openings to confuse and flatten a few noses in the rush.
As the ticking gets louder and faster it eventually culminates with a wheezy fart from a fart machine. Then the sulphur releases for the effect and you wish the phony dynamite had exploded!

Thanks we figured out how to rearrange our Haunt for this year. The image I showed was last years layout and was very successful we have redesigned it. Thanks the room is 20x40 and the black spots are posts we have the proper lighting etc.

At least based on what I'm seeing there isn't a lot of room for much of anything... more or less looks like hallways. Its perfect for a 3D haunt but for scenes not so much.

If you came to the Darkness tour you'd notice we theme even the hallways so sure you can theme them for sure but to do a big scene, or a big fx I don't see you have the room there.

Gotta love 20x40's

Here is how we are tentatively setting up our walk this year. 2 20x40's w/ a 10x20 to extend it to a 20x50 w/ the 2nd 20x40 as a T for our new maze.

It's a Demented Dr's theme with Surgery rooms and a torture chamber. A few added elements this year are a laser tunnel and the large maze.

If your walls are move-able, you have endless options of set up. Let your imagination be your guide!!!

Well we have made this room work in the past I have attached some ways we did it. The one with the blue lines indicate openeings where our actors provide another scare. This year in place of the dot room we did a stuffed animal room where one came alive.

Quick exit

The tail end of your haunt looks like a straight shot from one end to the exit with only 1 turn. Any possibility of sneaking another wall to break it up some? We run into the same issues being confined to a smaller space. Get all the scares in the front half but it leaves only a hallway to work with at the end.

You have some 16' runs in the front half, any chance of dropping them down to 12' to pick up on the back side to add some half wall turns? Make the halls 36" wide instead of 48". How much 'stuff' do you have for your 'decorations'? If it's not too elaborate or over decorated you should be able to shrink down the paths from area to area to pick up on the return side.

The first 16' run is set up so as they complete that turn the drop down scare occurs. Not much decorations mostly in the bigger rooms. What's a half wall turn?
