  • Alice Cooper Giant Costume Project

We recently had the opportunity to work with Ed and Marsha from Distortions on a project for their reality tv show they are working on, and were honored to build a giant 10' costume armature for Alice Cooper's concert series.
We happily designed and built the armature with working jaw and hands to work with a sculpt they did of Alice Cooper as Frankenstein. It is a beautiful piece.
I wish I could post pics and video but this is not to be released until the show comes out.

One reason I am so excited by this is that ED Edmunds called me the other day and told me that Alice said the puppet worked beautifully and that he could not be happier with every aspect. The weight, the functionality, the look, the dependality, everything. And said he was planning on putting it in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when the Concert series is over.
    How crazy is that?
So if you go see Alice Cooper. You are seeing a joint project between Gore Galore and Distortions. I took this as a real opportunity to show what we could do and it worked out beautifully.
Thank You Ed and Marsha for the opportunity for allowing us to shine.
And I hope we made you look good.

Here it is in action. I didn't post this. Someone else did and I am surprised it is on youtube. So you can expect it to disappear soon. It just goes to show how versatile our systems really are. See how quickly this actor is using this beast.

Kevin, how tall is this guy? He looks much bigger than your other costumes or are Alice's band mates really short?

It was designed as a 10' costume, and the head was sculpted rather large on top of that. I am very pleased how the whole project turned out.
But yes also the Band members of Alice Cooper's band are also little people

Alice Cooper isn't to shabby for the resume either. Suppose Ozzy might be better though
