    Video of Homemade Faux Flame

Video from you tube. Fire effect using a hazer, foam pipe insulation for a slow seep, and strips of red LEDs. It's just a hazer or a fog machine with a fan, pulsed through a pipe and cleverly lit.

They want $4000 per foot and it runs off steam, and you have to buy on your own some sort of steam boiler or something. That is crazy.

It can be done cheaper I'm sure.

Yeah it can be done cheaper. People on the home haunter forums already have prototypes going up that uses a standard steam cleaner. I've also seen a haunter do it using foam tubing, Red LED lights and a hazer and fog machine. It looks great! If it is going to be an atmosphere effect, it doesn't have to be perfect, but if it gets the point across (something is on fire) then I feel it is a winner winner chicken dinner.

the most REALISTIC FAKE fire I've seen!

it will not work as well with fog, the light will not pass through as easy as steam or water vaper.... we just brought on a guy to our team from disney... we talked about this today... they use a special tip that has a small ruby it,( yes not shit a ruby) to make the water vaper really fine and spray out... we will be working on a 1,000 model and a 2,000 model with the same effect as the fire. we will have ready for transworld. along with some new ghost projections we are filming now.

our guy as done a lot of work in this area with disney and universal studios

Glad to see that it may be a new tech at Transworld.

That fire effect is amazing. Is that one part in the video with the round rain or water falling an effect they produce also? Just wondering. Or is that an actual waterfall? Never seen anything like that.

Working on one of these at this very moment. Tried a few different methods, but finally settled with it running on water. Can be programed however you like or constantly running. One problem we ran into is it needs to be run in a fairly dim/dark area. With all the lighting effects its hard to see with the lights on. Also using the same "technology" to make other flame/fire products. Probably going to run about $799-$999 depending on what model, we'll have a few to choose from.
