I've been making different versions of those for almost 10 years now. One thing to mention, is to make SURE you wash them out thoroughly with detergent after the silicone is set well and before they are worn. This will remove the chemicals that leach out of the silicone when it is fresh.
They can also be washed in a machine in cold water -bonus!

I had never had a problem with anyone wearing these until last year, when one of my actors had a bad reaction to the gloves after he had worn them on his sweaty hands all night -so watch out for any skin irritation & remove promptly if that happens & wash your hands/arms with soap & water.
Most folks don't have any trouble wearing them though.
You can also imbed a wide variety of materials into the silicone, such as hair, cheesecloth, fake-nails, glitter.. etc
    Good tutorial Allen!

I havent but just do it on an actors hands, and tape his fingers together making the "Spock". Then build up a good bit of brown in that area and use a comb to get the texture. Then add hair, Id go sparse with the hair.

Thanks- I try to hit stuff that I have done but havent heard to many others do- or just stuff i need done at the time. Thanks for the kind words, they are a ton of work to edit and get published so Im glad people are liking them. Thanks for the kind words. I never want to come off like I think I know everything- I dont. But I want to share what i know so you can make different mistakes than me and I can learn from those too as well as mine.

Another great video Allen. You have an amazing gift for "value engineering" haunt projects. The captions at the bottom of the video crack me up too.
