How many haunter use them? Just wondering!

i tried one year to use a voice changer and it didnt work so well. then again i had a cheap one from walmart. If you got a good one which attached to your face and not just cliped onto a shirt and amped it through speakers and not the cheap little speaker box which comes with it, might work well..

well you getting into something here.
I have been working on this for years, but have never found or so far designed a product that meets the challenge.
There are some on the market but they run between $700 and $1000 or more.

The problem is with the feedback, low quality microphone, and low volume.

We are working on one called the "Scream Cube"
I don't want to divulge too much here, but it is coming soon.

Last week, At Target. I pickup up a wireless Karaoke Microphone
headset for 19.95 (Something to play with) it plugs into any
        powered speaker.or amp box.
, It's cheap. works real good on low sounds.
I think the range is about 75 feet from the speaker,
so far it's working real good.

I noticed nobody mentioned the oldest purported voice changer ,
(Castration) How badly DO you want to alter your voice?

Not bad enough to spend $500.00, just enough to give a select few of my werewolves the abilite to talk, just not in human type voice.

I picked up my Boss VT-1 on ebay for $150 used.

The real problem with feedback is the quality of mic
                  used, speaker placement and EQ.

That said, the haunt I worked last year use 4-5
                  VT-1s with good effect.

Tis a ton of fun when you can do voice talent madness in unexpected ways. Growing up on musique concrete helps. (Virgil, the Kalmbach in the Wind music cue you heard, the wind was actually a mouth noise sample played at different speeds on keyboard from the fabulous grunge machine, the Akai 612S sampler. )

                    1. Make a pitched pink noise into microphone sampler
                    2. play on keyboard
                    3. profit???

Or the actors can have fun and discover baby talk in unexpected voices. Gives a brand new range of possibilities, giving the unexpected there....

I bought a cheap one and found that you could hear my regular voice louder than the altered voice on the changer. Stupid thing ended up breaking a couple of days after I bought it.
