  • Today I made foam covered wire that bends

I am excited because it is so easy. I wish my camera worked. I bought a huge spool of 12 gauge wire at Home Depot ( $5.00) and bought self adhering foam pipe insulation from their plumbing department ( $1.00 for about 6 feet) . I cut the foam in 1/2 so you get 12 feet of foam that perfectly covers and sticks around the wire. I wrap the bendable foam cover wire with strips of colored tissue paper.
I am so happy with the results for a tree costume or swamp creature or vines . I will use it for our massive headdress, that I was everywhere trying to find something strong enough for our Jungle High Priestess . I think I might even wrap some in snake fabric because it will pose nicely around a tree. Here is a pic online of the look it gives me.
