If I had Solenoid like that I wouldn't use it for a coffin banger. I'd save it for a big cylinder or sell it and use the money to by 3 or 4 smaller full kits with solenoids from Fright Props.

Hi, folks. I'm a newbie at both pneumatics and posting to this forum. I run a small haunted barn and trail in Moscow, Idaho raising money for Relay for Life.
I have a massive AAA 120v Solenoid, made in Texas, with 1/2" NPT. Here's a website with a pic and info. Although the model says it's SO4V on the solenoid, this looks to be identical.

Is this thing too much to use for something like a coffin banger? Can I get a 1/2" to 1/4" adapter? Any minimum PSI worries? Anyone want to trade? This thing could lift a car.
Thanks,
Drex Rhoades

You're right. I just listed it on ebay. I'll buy something more suitable.
Thanks!
