What is the best place to get makeup? Last year we bought those kits that got used so quickly we went through so much like water. Is there a better way that can take care of approx 15 actors a night for 3 weekends? Thanks

We have the airbrush paint for the prosthetics for some actors. We need (I guess grease makeup for the other actors) Last year we used those kits that had 5 colors with a makeup brush but it goes fast.

why not air brush them all?

Pressed for time is the issue on airbrushing everyone nightly, Some actors may wear masks some prosthetics but you airbrush once and it is good for the 9 nights and you just top off with regular makeup. It is easier having the actors apply it themselves. The reason is we all work and getting out picking up actors since they dorm at a nearby campus and bringing them to get ready just cuts it too close to opening time.

Personally I like to mix airbrush, hand, and a little face paint. I think it helps that we mix the styles up a bit. I have been doing haunt makeup for years though... kind of the reason I even run one now.... I still use http://www.fxwarehouse.info/ to get a lot of my stuff. I also still use the old Mehron mix for about 80% of my airbrush makeup.

I use sillyfarm.com and anything Mehron or Wolfe Brothers is the way to go!
