  • What's a good way to do victorian wall with chair rail

is it better to use a specific vacuform/osb or are they easy to replicate with plywood, wallpaper and paint?

A router and some 1x4 are all you need for chair rail. Super easy.

      walls

our holding room in our haunt looks like a victorian parlor type room. We are in a large old barn and have no temperature control so we were worried about wallpaper, but it has held up fine. We painted the plywood with a primer and then took a paint roller and really used a lot of wallpaper glue on the walls and then hung it. It dried with some creases (from putting so much glue) and it made the look even better. we took molding from lowes and ran it around the room like a chair rail and painted the bottom half a beige color and it turned out very nice. We hung some changing portraits on the wall etc. and added a candlebra on the mantle and it looks really nice. You can also just paint the top half a different color and use stencils to make designs and it looks good too, I just preferred the wallpaper because you dont notice the gaps where the wall panels join together.
