    OK, I personally tend to like my haunts high startle/low gore. But for those who go the other way, here's a little inspiration I ran across on the web today:

    That's Peter Jackson's cult classic "Dead Alive", goriest movie ever I believe they call it. The scene where the woman's ear falls off into the oatmeal or whatever that was darn near made me puke as a kid when I first saw it! Jackson's come a long way from those early films.

    Yeah gives new meaning to the phrase "mowing them down". Classic old school horror I remember renting this the same day I rented a Faces of Dead VHS tape.

    Now that I know what the film is called (thanks MDKing!), I was able to find more scenes:




    I was also able to find the English language version of the mower scene. Odd how much better the sound effects are in this version:
