Hijacked credit cards...

Has anyone else experienced recent credit card hijackings? For the second time in three years, with a second debit/credit card, I had someone hijack my credit card number. These cards are used explicitly for the haunt, and both times it was shortly after transworld. I know that most vendors are responsible with credit card numbers, but please make a second effort to secure our personal information and card numbers. It's going to be hard to do business with any haunt vendor where I need to write my full card number on a piece of paper in future years.

Do you cards have RFID in them? Someone could just be walking the floor with a scanner grabbing the cards that are within 5 - 10 ft of them.

That is funny because I too just was informed that the card I use for all my haunt related purchases (used at Transworld) was compromised. What a pain in the butt! Someone was having a good time in Singapore and booking travel to Turkey - go figure.

See as one large CC processor was hacked last month that may have something to do with it.

Although I didn't attend Transworld, my card was hacked as well. Kudos to Discover for catching it, since I dont make any Itunes pruchases. Sucks that I have to wait for a new card to be sent, etc.

We were hacked also... and every year for the last few years. We should try to compare what vendors we bought from and see if we can narrow it down! Nothing worse than having to call everyone back with a new card!
