  • From Charity to Profit (props)

Is it ethically correct to use props given to you for the use of a Charity haunt to build a For-Profit haunt later on down the road?

Dending on how the charity is set up. Does the charity actually own everything? Other option is a seperate company (you) may be a for profit company but you operate the haunt in the name of te charity. Then if you go pro, you still own the assets. If the charity owns and operates the haunt, you may have to "buy" the stuff from the charity. Remember even if you run a charity and you are the only person involved, it becomes its own seperate entity. You are always seperate from it. If you are a sole propriator of a business...is essence you ARE the business. That's why certain things that are normally personal can now become business related. Best to figure out all of this BEFORE you start accumulating assests.

That doesn't seem like the type of situation many ppl would end up knowing about. In that case, any question of ethics really comes down to how YOU feel about it my friend. Personally I wouldn't fault you for doing that...
