  • Dark Knight Rises - Let the Reviews begin

Let me throw a quick review at you... BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVER MADE IN HISTORY OF FILM. In fact it might be one of the best movies I've ever seen ... it was unreal! Its more like a drama wrapped around a comic book hero the movie starts never stops and ends with one of the coolest twists we've ever seen.

If you love Batman you will never forget this one... btw BANE is PURE EVIL!

I don't know, it's still a grown man dressed like a bat as a childish superhero fantasy. Although the writing has come a long way since the corny lines of "chicks dig the car" from earlier batmans. I'd like to see something more original than children's comic book Heros. I wish Hollywood would get inspired and make movies with new ideas instead of rehashing the same thing over and over.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the new Bourne movie.

I'm sure this batman movie will break records though and people will love it, especially all the fanboys and comic book geeks. At least the "bad guy" is supposed to be very bad instead of cheesy like when Jim Carrey and Arnold were villains.

Get used to it I guess, because they are rebooting this franchise again. Nolan was going to get his three movies and then they were going to reboot it. Probably to fit it into a JLA franchise. I want to see The Dark Knight rises but I have heard it isn't very good so I don't know if I will bother or not.

It looks like someone took it a little too seriously.

... Yeah, I been up a bit this morning reading the awful comments people make in the comment section.

Between sicko's like the shooter and the people commenting, I kinda wish that the asteroid would hurry up and hit us for the 2012 doomsday. Or maybe the annunaki will come and put us all to slavery. Or or, ... nah, I'll shut up.

I know it's the world. I know it's just people but dammit. I proudly say that I'm ashamed to be human. We're the ONLY species that does stupid crap like this all the time. The monkeys militarily kill others, but when it's witnessed, there's usually a reason. With the exception of that lion in Africa, lions don't kill something and then leave it. the only time an animal kills and leaves is when it was prey that won.

Back to the movie, Larry's been on a few times that I've saw his reviews. I couldn't believe someone that said the movie sucked. Of course, I'm a VERY avid movie goer. I'll just go watch it for myself :P

I'll try to hit it up this weekend.

BTW, Nolan is rebooting, but I think he's wanting to go a different direction again. He's not very... um, deceiving like J.J. Abrams is, but he can let a few details slip once in a while that are false to keep the real details more of a surprise.

Nolan said he wasn't going to make another one after Dark Knight so we'll see... the ending totally sets up another one so who knows.

I don't want to see a reboot, event though he's used a lot of the villains he still hasn't touched some of the iconic ones. As for what happened in the theater clearly that had nothing to do with the film just some wacko doing what they do best... its horrible what happened and sad they have people like that in the World. Wasn't Columbine in Colorado as well... like every 5 years or so someone has to go on a rampage.

The reboot chatter has been going on since the Dark Knight came out. From what I have heard the reboot would be because the Nolan Batman doesn't necessarily fit into the JLA vision. Who knows what will actually happen, JLA may never even get made, it has already had at least one false start. You have to figure there will be more Batman movies in the future from someone.

Without giving too much away or anything just think about this statement

Nolan said he wouldnt do another BATMAN movie....didnt say anything about other people in the BATMAN universe

                  It's Usually "Dark"

When my "Knight Rises!" Is this a porno movie?
A classmate of mine told me 30 years ago that he didn't spend anytime watching TV or movies, but he was saving these experiences for the end of his life, as if/when he was given a short time left to live....this practise would eliminate the angst of storyline regurgittation.......probably make the movies all seem "better" too.
My last fun might be right after I'm dead (If I ever do that?) with three "Fart Machines" in my coffin for the funeral. The controls will be passed out to three people but they will each think they have the only control...."Pheeete!"
"Jim is still ALIVE! He just farted! and I didn't push the butt-ton!"
I havn't deciced what silly mask I want to be wearing yet.

As far as the murdering idiots out there... it seems to be humanity is always taking two steps "Forward" then at least one step "Back".
Look at any history of all the ruination of man's creations and lives during any war. How much actual sense does ANY of this ever make??????

TDKR is good. It's not the greatest movie of all-time, but it's good. And it's still holding strong at 87% on RottenTomatoes.com. After thinking about the movie for 24 hours, I'd put TDK as the best in the series, but Rises is still very satisfying. Definitely go see it.

Ok. saw the film. COuldn't wait any longer so I took my niece.

First off, F#%^K the critics. I learned to not give 2 sh.ts about them and their views anymore. NONE of their views have come close to how I felt about the movies i wanted to see, including Transformers, This last Batman series and the Fast and Furious franchise.

Second, I don't think I can put it above The Avengers, however, that sumbish is on up there. I loved the movie. Michael Cain gave a BRILLIANT performance. Michael Cain has NEVER gotten me choked up before, and I was so involved in the movie, seeing how the story played out and all, when Cain got on screen for a few select moments, I was impressed. He's a great actor, but I am overwhelmed. It could've been me all caught up in the moment but .. .yeah. Anyways. SEE THE MOVIE.. one, it must be seen in the theater. It's just one of those films.

Third, it's true. My info was outdated. According to the 9th of this month Nolan canceled any involvement with the next Reboot of Batman and no longer in talks with the Justice League project.

I was kinda let down by the theater audience as a whole during batman, just not a WHOLE lot of response though they did clap at the end. It has lots of great scenes, realistic fighting and dialogue. And as Larry said, a wonderful twist, in fact I thought there were 2 twists, but you just gotta see it.

I hate when people clap during or after the movie. It's not a sport or live theater its a film and none of the performers are present. I plan to see the movie tonight.

Saw it for a second time last night...one of my kids was at summer camp so he wanted to see it. I picked up on things I did not catch the first time. Mostly stuff about the fast paced ending and well a reference to Killer Croc. If you can all recall many bloggers said one of the villains was suppose to be Killer Croc and I guess Nolan read all of that so he threw in a reference to him... that was neat.

Unbelievable movie the acting was the strongest element here... Bale was at his best in this flick. Overall I thought Catwoman would be the worst but she was really the best thing about the movie. I was surprised.

                            the dark knight rises

Although this is a very good movie! I still like The Dark Knight better. Bane was good but hard to understand at times. Heath Ledger as the Joker was much better as Batman ultimate nemesis! This movie was perdictable in parts. I liked Catwoman too! I'm going to see it again w my boys soon.
