    Hey guys,

Do you hire your October haunt staff as independent contractors or employees? Which is really asking if you issue W2s, unemployment insurance, workers comp, etc...

One accountant has told us we are legally required to go through all the employee hassle even if our staff only works 8 nights max and less than 40 hours. We are in Georgia.

    Thanks,
    MrFoos

We did Independent but no matter what your going to need workers comp insurance. Most building won't let us in without that. . Hired a payroll company who did their 1099s. For our Halloween store we had less employee's so we did payroll and the 1099s ourselves. =
