  • Supplies, supplies looking for supplies

I am looking for some suppliers of material and where you might get your prop materials, lighting, moldmaking stuff, etc. Looking to save some research time and wondered if our fellow haunters would help out. Think this would be benifical to everyone.

I am looking for websites or numbers for:

Costume material ie fur, realistic eyeballs for animals/people, bolts of material, etc.
    Cylinders
    Rigs and bungee cords
    Body forms or molds
    Casting and mold material
2 way mirrors, large mirrors for maze

I know that Allen had a list of them when I was a member of the HHA but I can't access it any longer. Allen Hopps, you may have a huge list compiled. Thought this might help everyone if there is anyway to get it. I am willing to pay something for it as well.

Please feel free to post any websites or phone numbers where we can get materials for costume, prop or riggings related here.

The "Search" feature on this site works wonders. Perhaps looking at old threads will be of some help.

          Sorry guys,
No Wifi at my Orlando Hotel during IAAPA (and I was barely there). Im home now and trying to catch up on posts email and all the chains and tethers of modern life.
Yeah I have tons of sites bookmarked for suppliers and such but it would be a ton of time to compile them into something easily used. Can you share a book marks folder? Let me hit your specific questions and try to not take 3hrs doing it.

          Costume material ie
          fur,

          NFT National fiber technologies

          realistic eyeballs for animals/people
Van Dykes Taxidermy 20-24MM range works well
in ebay type Human eye acrylic 24MM

          bolts of material, etc.
Dallas has a fabric district called Perth st. Im sure most cities have a wholesale fabric area if you look for it.

          Cylinders
For simple tubes I use sonotubes for concrete forms they are very stiff cardboard
Clear acrylic tubes are much harder to find and I end up making most of mine from 1/8" Acrylic and 5MM plywood (underlayment) with the woodbent into the tube and the acrylic as a big window.

          Rigs and bungee cords

I use these for my bungee cords (take cheap hooks off) http://www.harborfreight.com/25-ft-r...oks-99891.html
and here is where I get my tracks & trolleys http://tsc.tractorsupply.com/nav/cat...e/0?sli_jump=1

          Body forms or molds
***Make your own without doubt or question

          http://www.aeromarineproducts.com/
          http://www.uscomposites.com/products.html
this list could go on and on-this is a good start and I will add specifics to answer questions if they are asked.

2 way mirrors, large mirrors for maze
***This should be local to you, google plastic supply and ask them for what you need. I have four plastic suppliers in Dallas.

How is that for a start?

Thank you everyone for your response, and thanks Allen, I knew you would be helpful as always. We are a small rural area and don't have wholesalers available around here. Appreciate your time!
