  • Costume source

Hey guys, I am looking for a source of vintage clothing for costumes. I have been able to purchase some stuff through auctions and estate sales, but it takes a long time to find the right auction and the right stuff. I am running out of patience! LOL

Anyone know of a good source for these stuff?

Thanks Allen and Adam. She wanted to redo the website. There was product and other info that has changed dramatically that she took it down. She however has gotten sidetracked to getting ready for transworld. It also hasn't help that I have put more on her plate with the haunt. Lol! She will be bringing lots of product for cash and carry. Thanks again Allen for the Facebook link.

                Still shopping!!

                Thanks guys,

I did find the FB page and will check it out some more this afternoon. Of course, Goodwill and other Thrift Shops are my first stop, but they have mostly 70s and newer. I am looking for more vintage stuff, around 20s and 30s. I have found a few places but they do get pricey, so I may end up paying the price for the key costumes and continuing the estate auctions for other stuff. I have bought some really cool stuff from auctions but it is a timely process. And hit and miss.

I.e., I got a mourning dress from the 1800's earlier this year, complete with bonnet, for a whopping $10! A fur coat from the 20s for about $6! I need a butlers uniform, from the 20s, would love to have the uniform used by theatre ushers in the 20s. Doctor uniforms, work clothes, etc are all on my list!
