I visited Ben's haunt in 2010, and was beyond impressed. One thing that truly stuck out was his actors' ability to jump out around corners and in doorways and startle you with that loud noise that sounded like Slider gloves rubbing across diamond plate.

Does anyone have any idea as to how this was accomplished? I assume that it was a rough material, and it has to be anchored to a stud but hollow behind it to give it that loudness...

Any suggestions welcome! I plan on using Allen's Clacker gloves on some sort of metal to give a really loud startling effect, but need to figure out how to go about it..

    Thanks in advance!!

What are clacker gloves! PS Netherworld was worth driving 5 hours to see! Went this past October and it was the best haunt Ive seen. Ben, I appreciate your humble attitude in the classes and willingness to stand up and educate when you had some insight to questions. Your description of the various customers was dead on and it is def all about the group experience! I came home and told my wife about your buttscabs too for that too cool for school customer!!
