  • WTB Realistic moving maggots

Anyone know where I can get realistic looking maggots? And with that being said, does anyone make animated or moving maggots. Thanks in advance

    WTB Realistic Moving Maggots

I am not sure if anyone sells those but I wanted to offer a way to make those flexible foam rubber maggots move.

    Vibrations.

If you are going to use them on a surface, then install a vibrating motor on the under side.

Another option might be the vibrating speakers from my other forum post. Basically, using an audio speaker the maggots should not only move but crawl over one another too. I would be very interested in seeing this option if you use it.

Do you have a link to the other post I did not see it. Do you know who sells static maggots? I am going to order the maggots and try this this week and post a video

You have some maggot options! The most realistic I have seen were video projections at TW. Maybe not the cheapest option. You can get toy maggots. Virginia toy and novelty has some (also at TW). I'm sure other online novelty shops could be found.
Another option is to make some. Allen H has a tutorial on making maggots on his YouTube channel with Stiltbeast Studios.
I like Imagineers idea with the vibration. Reminds me of the old electric football game with the vibrating field!

Yes vibration is what I am going to do. Thank you for the ideas on where to find them.

Here is the other tread link. It can be found otherwise under bubbling morphing flesh.

just skimmed through, if it was posted already, pardon my laziness.

Allen does a great job with latex here in this video. I've tried it myself and worked very well for me. Very, VERY ugly looking maggots when I put them on my props in the kitchen etc.

              Hope this helps.

                  Thank Allen :P

BTW, the vibrating table is brilliant. I'd bet if you made a bunch of these maggots and maybe dusted them with baby powder they should move and crawl as well, however, being 'rubber' they may not reply as much as rice or a plastic version. The whole, 'equal and opposite reaction, except for energy absorbing soft rubber maggots made at home' thing...

Mouth half full of cooked rice, start talking in the que line, slowly let it fall out.....freaky....I forget who told me that, but a fantastic idea

Awesome idea, but I think it'd be better to have a mask or something, prosthetic maybe, that has maggots on the face, hair etc. This way they've already got maggots on the mind... then you start talking :P Yeaup. That'd get em.
