Flying Rigs –
This is really cool, and I wish I had the ceiling space to mount one. My only comment would be one of concern. As one who has been in the entertainment production business for far too long, I have seen my share of accidents from certified riggers who knew what they were doing. Simple mistakes have caused many falling accidents. In the entertainment industry today, all venues are now required to have a complete safety system installed in their ceilings, where riggers are "clipped in" with two straps at all times. I am not saying that is necessary here, but it worries me when I go to a haunt and find "garage rigged" stuff and people flying around the room on them - even with certified harnesses. We need to educate the haunt community on rigging safety to prevent accidents from marring such a cool effect. Clancy is a great source for educational materials and specifications such as load calculations, etc. It might sound like overkill, but it doesn't take a long fall to seriously injure someone.
