  • Rob Zombie Haunted House

Has anyone been to this yet? I heard its not doing well... but was wondering if anyone had news on this attraction. I heard the attractions one the staff put bags over your head, they use foul language, and its more hard core approach. Who has been and what did you see. Anytime a celeb attaches their name to a haunt I think its interesting to see how it does if it works or how far off the beaten track did they go.

    Anyone have a report?

Yes I went opening night. I had fun and their were not a lot of people. i did get their late while 303 was playing. The first haunt they did put a hood over your head and you couldn't see a damn thing. you just felt your away through. their were a lot of startle props i.e. air guns, horns, electric shock. actors also helped you through. i did take off the hood and it was just black panels. the next was the 3-d maze which was the best I've been to and I have been to a lot. I loved that he used real glasses not the paper kind that always fall off your face. it was fun!! Not so much scary just fun and it was vulgar in a good way. Actors danced with me and my friend, very cool! The third maze was a House of 1000 corpses. It was good set design but nothing to elaborate. Before you went in they did ask you if you wanted to be touched and of course we said yes and they marked you with blood on your forehead so the actors knew they could touch you. the language was vulgar and sexual and they had dildos and props of that nature. its rob zombie so it worked well. My friend and I went through it twice and the Midway was cool but could have been done better. i can tell you it was 1000% better then Trapped and the whole Knotts "not" scary farm. Delusion:mask of mortality was awesome and if you are ever in LA check it out. Universal Horror nights was off the hook!! There budget must be 10-15 million. Crazy good!

Over all i give Zombie's American nightmare a thumbs up!IMG_2286.jpgIMG_2299.jpgIMG_2304.jpgIMG_2308.jpg

Today I was stopped outside my haunt by a tourist. He said, "hey, do ya have a good Dracula in there?"
I said, "No, not this year", and he replied, "Really? What is Halloween with out Dracula and the Wolfman?"
With the rise of such attractions as Rob Zombie's haunt and Lesbian haunts I fore see a future conversation that will go more like this:
"Hey, do ya got any good dildos in there?"
      "Aaah, no, not this year"
"Really? What is Halloween without dildos?"

I forgot I did hear that they are waiving dildos at people... what in the hell??? I did hear they use vulgar language and make sexual comments. Hey its LA so I don't know if you can get away with that or not... but around hear my actors get called out for everything they say by customers. So that would NOT fly here...

        Anyone else been?

I heard it was not doing well.

The lesbian haunted house is ..............

Probably just trying to make a statement and trying to get attention. Not making a very good push for their cause or whatever they are trying to do.

              I support anything ROB ZOMBIE

I would love to visit his haunted house. Did ANYBODY see 'LORDS OF SALEM" ? I think it was in the theatres for about 2 weeks. Was it any good ? I haven't even seen it available for rent as of yet. (???)

Anyway, to get back on topic here, I hope more people send in reviews of the haunt. I am 3,000 miles away, so, I won't get to visit it this year. thanks !!! ps: he will be in my town here November 28th for a concert in a super small venue. cant' wait !!!

John. Lords was ok if you went into it with the expectations of watching a independent or artistic (I guess) type movie. If you are looking for a movie like House of a 1000 corpses or Devils Rejects you will be disappointed. There is very little excitement and even less sense that is made in the movie. If you have 2 hours to spend and want to see Zombies' attempt at a more mature type movie your in luck. I actually somewhat enjoyed it, it was just a odd movie.

As far as his haunted attraction his shows are far from family friendly, he's a shock rocker at the end of the day, so I wouldn't expect anything less than him attempting basically horror porn and labeling it an extreme haunt.

Now I'm a fan, but you can't expect someone juggling directing movies and a music career to run a top haunt as well, but from pics he's put on Facebook visually its pretty cool...
