So I just purchased these Rotary Screw 50HP 194cfm air compressors and the refrigerated air dryer and a 240 gallon storage tank at a bankruptcy auction for 8K for basically the whole room. I am believing and hoping thats a good deal? I have never used these type of air compressors. In my haunt how far away do I need to have them, do I need a sound proof room etc..... any advice would be appreciated.

A new 50hp screw compressor runs around $15,000, so I would say you got a decent deal if everything works well. The 75hp one at my day job is pretty loud, and they run non stop. You'll have trouble enclosing them because they will create alot of heat.

A couple things to think about. It is noisy, sound proof needed, lots of heat, ventilation needed, 3 phase power needed, runs continuously. Lot of air but do you really need that much?
Good luck with it, but you should really think it all the way through before you commit, you got them for a good price, there is resale....
