The Midwest Haunters Convention is just 3 weeks away! We’re preparing the ScareAtorium for your visit on Friday, June 6 as part of the evening bus tour. Starting at 6:00 pm; there will be 16 shuttle buses transporting guests from the Hyatt to the ScareFactory for an open house reception, then you’ll visit the ScareAtorium for an unforgettable night of fright!
We’ve updated several scenes and added some new scenes and we’ve changed the entrance and exit. This will be the second season in our new location encompassing 40,000 sq ft. We really enjoy entertaining haunters and we’re looking forward to your visit.
Guests will tour the Northland Asylum and RIP’s Funhouse in 3 D. After touring the haunts; you’ll have an opportunity to check out our makeup room and costume room while enjoying snacks and beverages. The Northland Asylum is a resurrection of the original asylum on this very site from 1899 to 1956. It was demolished in the late 50’s and a shopping center was constructed on the former site. This site was closed 10 years ago and we were able to secure several items from the original asylum for use in our re-creation. RIP’s Funhouse is a 3 D attraction with tons of eye-candy and optical illusions. Many guests have told us it is the best 3 D attraction they’ve ever toured! Come see for yourself.
