I was going to experiment with the dvd projector effects this year at my Halloween party. We aren't opening our haunt til next year so we have some time to try out some things to see how they would work. Does anyone use the projection effects for their haunt? Do they work well for you? Any tips or does anyone know of Any good deals on projectors anywhere?

If you are not partial, shopgoodwill.com has some great deals to be had on projectors. Also, projectorcentral.com if you are looking for something particular.
I have used projections for non-haunt related performances, specifically projection mapping. You can demo Resolume Arena for the full blown mapping experience, although it's not the most user friendly software. I am currently using VPT for a Halloween themed show on the front of my house this year. -
Check out your local public surplus. School districts, state and city government usually send projectors to surplus in large quantities. I got three projectors for $40.00 and have used them for two years now without replacing the bulb. Publicsurplus.com I think is the website. Good luck!

I got two of these. One has never been opened, the other was opened and turned on long enough for us to see if it was what we wanted. We needed a short throw. I'll sell them for $300.00 each, shipping included.
