  • All Activities at Transworld Rank them

I've been gathering information about everything to do at Transworld this weekend. Let me see if I have them all down.

    City Museum Event
    Price is Fright
    Pre-Show Haunt Tour
    Darkness Tour behind the scenes
    Lemp Haunted House
    Darkness live tour
    Phobia haunted house tour
    Bowling Event
    Haunted House Association meeting
    Seminars during the show
Seminars before the show speed version
    Transworld pre-convention party

    What am I missing?

And there is simply no way to attend all of these from those with experience how would you rank in order of importance which ones should you attend?

I think and its just my opinion but I think the most important things about the show are the following...

The show itself meeting people, talking about haunted houses, seeing new products, getting inspired with new idea's, and the overall point you are at in the year is half way there... this show kicks you off to start thinking about getting your haunt into better shape than the year before.

That is what is most important about the show itself.

What you do while at the show all goes towards that goal of making your haunted house better. Personally I would focus on things that can and will make your haunt better. Going to the City Museum in my opinion isn't part of that process, nor is going to a bowling alley or some association meeting where they hand out bogus awards or going to a casino or going up in the Arch for that matter.

These are for a large part things you can do anytime of the year if you ever stop back thru... if you are one of these people that want to just have a blast while you are here those social events like the city museum or just hanging out and drinking yourself to death are the best aspects. It just depends for you what is most important.

personally I can say that I look at the Darkness tour ONLY in that light ... make it educational experience for those who go. I think the seminars are also great and really help because you have a lot of great people really trying to help you for basically nothing.

Take advantage of anything that gives you an opportunity to learn something new.

The show room is number one for us and to our crew the most important thing is to meet and talk to as many people as possible. It's one of the best places to learn from very knowledgable haunt professionals. No matter how long you've been doing this or how skilled you are there is always something to learn. This industry practically reinvents itself every year and it's important to both observe, learn and stay on top of what's currently trending.

Besides that, We're from Texas so we spend a good time of our after hours eating and mingling with new folks. Seriously, we have a food itinerary.
Seminars. Attend the free ones for sure and then choose the one's that best suit the direction your headed this year. There is also very good seminars available on the show room floor stage that often gets overlooked. Definitely check those out.
City Museum is a must see if you've never been. We've gotten ideas from there before.
Same goes with the haunt tours. Much to learn at all the attractions.

Really can't go wrong with any of the events at Transworld. There's knowledge around every corner.

The show is great and there's so much to take in, right up until 5:00 when it closes daily. Afterwards it's the only opportunity to network and socialize with such a large group of like minded and creative people who are as passionate and creative about the haunt industry as we are. To neglect the opportunities and events where you can collaborate with all the minds at Transworld would be a shame to waste which is why I thinks it's very productive and essential to partake in the extra curricular events beyond the show floor it's self.
