  • Gunnar Hansen Has Died

Good personal friend and friend to this industry, Gunnar Hansen, has died from pancreatic cancer at age 68. He, as many of you know was "Leatherface" in the original Tobe Hooper "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and his iconic character will forever live on in our dreams and nightmares.

Gunnar was a scholar and actor. Born in Reykjavik Iceland he moved to Texas for college.

He is survived by Betty Tower his girlfriend.

I will miss Gunnar, I am relieved he is at rest. Texted him several times in October but no answer, a mutual friend told me last week about his cancer. Called and left message. Got the bad news this morning. He came to see my show Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show last October. Got to spend quite a bit of time talking about everything BUT Chainsaw.

He was a true gentleman. God Bless Him.

Gunner visited The Darkness several times, who's autographs still hang on our walls. He visited many many haunted houses over the years. Incredible story teller.... I will miss him!
