  • "Escape Room City" coming to Transworld 2015

    http://www.haashow.com/2015/11/escap...haa-show-2016/

Escape to TransWorld at the America’s Center in St. Louis, March 2016 —Imagine an interactive escape room zone bursting with live displays, puzzle tech, “off the shelf” games, on-site games you can play and packed with educational seminars that teach visitors everything they need to know about running escape games.

That’s the focus of Escape Room City at TransWorld’s annual HAA Show this March in St Louis.

Built by the nation’s leader in Halloween and entertainment trade shows, TransWorld is dedicating a 15,000 square-foot zone on the vendor show floor exclusively to the escape room industry.

“There’s a natural connection between haunted attractions and escape room games”, says Rich Bianco, Vice President of TransWorld Trade Shows. “We’re putting a ton of effort into creating the most comprehensive escape room trade show zone in the country”.

Over the next few years TransWorld’s goal is to offer a central point for escape game owners to gain knowledge, find resources and products and for potential escape room owners to learn the industry essentials. TransWorld is building a place to find everything necessary to succeed in the escape game industry.

Elisabeth Garson, founder of Steel Owl LLC and one of the 2016 Escape Room City seminar speakers, feels that the escape room industry needs “practical industry information — things like insurance and booking strategies and how to open a room escape game that will last.” She notes that “until now, this huge industry has been overlooked (by trade shows). I’ve seen TransWorld’s plans and what they’re offering is solid and comprehensive.”

Garson’s seminar will focus on how to build a top-selling room escape game, with information on developing storylines, integrating user experience and creating interactive puzzle tech. She is one of a curated group of expert speakers from all over North America that will be covering all the bases in the escape room industry.

Show admission is $50 pre-show and $65 on-site. The price includes a 4-day pass to all HAA Show zones, Escape Room City, industry parties, meet-and-greets, networking and more. TransWorld is also planning escape room bus tours and an entire educational seminar series dedicated to room escapes (bus tours and seminars sold separately, destinations, speakers, topics and pricing TBA).

For escape room vendors & companies that wish to display, there is still space available. Please contact Rich Bianco if you’re interested in exhibiting and showcasing your products or services:

When we came thru St Louis last March we looked around for some escape rooms and didn't find any. Glad to hear Larry is building some. All this news sounds exciting thanks for sharing.
