  • Unfinished project goes unfinished

So I was in the process of building an elaborate morgue scene using sheets of Aquatile toned white tile board from Home Depot. I guess Home Depot and lowes stopped carrying the product and got rid of the stacks they had on the shelf. Does anyone know of a similar type of product still available?

If none are available, then I will need to make something that looks close. Anyone know how to make realistic tile without buying real tiles?

It looks like it's still carried in some of their stores.

You could find the nearest store to you that still carries it (search through the Home Depot website), or you could ask you local HD customer service if they can special order it for you. Sometimes, though, they will only special order it in large (pallet) quantities.

Yeah, they haven't taken it off of their inventory. Tried that already. Thanks

        Aquatile

I get mine at Menards. They stock about 10 different types of patterned paneling and can special order others (old boards, bricks, tile, etc).

If you are on a BUDGET then you do a mix of real tiles and tile board. You do huge massive pieces of tile board and cut chunks out of it like big holes or corners or whatever then where you have the cuts/holes glue in some cracked or broken tiles here and there.

You want to give that look like its all real and old plus distressed. We do this all the time on projects on a budget. At the Darkness we do not use tile board but at Creepyworld we do on projects for our clients we do... but use a combo for sure.

How about a real embalming table?

If you need an embalming table to complete the look, I have an antique 1952 ceramic/steel embalming table. Pedestal rises and lowers, tilts and pivots. Cant get any more real looking than the real thing! Asking $2000 but you will have to come get it ..... its heavy as hell!
