We live in a town of about 75k people. Have a large college here that continues to grow and lots of out of town plates on cars. There's quite literally jack crap to do in this town. There's a go cart track here that people barely go to. There's an outdoor mini-golf that's old and noone ever goes to... and there's a bowling alley that apparently is doing well. It has pool tables and arcade games etc. But I know many people who are sooooo tired of bowling.
How well could you perceive an Escape Room doing here? I mean, I haven't grasped the concept yet completely and we are trying desperately to make it out to Transworld for the seminars on them. However a partner is wanting to bring it to town. I see so many people charging $20/ea for their rooms, I just don't know if people around here will shell out $20/ea very often. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't know. I know people are like this everywhere, but this town REALLY has the mentality of wanting everything for nothing.
I'm just nervous to jump in it when the haunt hasn't even taken off yet. I mean, everyone else seems to be getting on the bandwagon and it WOULD be cool to be the person to bring the concept to town.
Ideas?
