  • stucco on metal building

I have a wild West town theme ....Several wood buildings that look real old. One of them is a steel building with a wood front.....Wood is rotten and we need to replace.... Was wondering if I could put wire mesh on the steel and spray with stucco to look like an old Mexican cantina.....Made some rocks with chicken wire, burlap, and stucco a few years ago, but never sprayed the stuff on a wall...... Is it doable?? And if so, will it last several years outside??

I would simply get a hopper and spray it on direct to the wood itself it will stick then paint from there...if you are going for that mexican looking stucco look which is a totally different feel I don't think you need chicken wire for that unless you are trying to make it super thick.

I would just spray it out and go with that look.
