I wasn't aware it closed. That sucks it was a fun time. But I do agree, mini golf tends to have people hanging around too long and some are there for nothing more.

So any news on the re-opening of golf?

We have a black light mini-golf course here in one of our malls. It's been open for several years, so they must be doing ok. I think it's more kiddie-themed, though. There used to be one that was space-themed years ago, it didn't stay open too long.

I guess it would depend on your audience, the theme of the course itself and if you had more of a festival type atmosphere.

Here's a link to an independent "haunted golf" place (NOT part of the Monster Mini Golf chain):

I know I'm dredging up an old thread, but I thought that might be better than starting a new one with the same topic?

I'm really interested to know if mini-golf (especially black light mini-golf) is still generally a profitable venture these days? I remember WickedFarmer writing something about mini-golf going over well at his haunt. I know Larry's company makes black light mini golf. I'm sure there are others on the Forum who have mini golf as well (with or without their haunt). My dream is to run an outdoor haunt during the season, and indoor black light mini golf year round. I'd love to hear some opinions on this topic, especially from anyone who's been in the mini golf biz.

I had the opportunity to go to Ghostly Manor (in Sandusky, OH) two years ago, and in addition to their excellent haunt, they had a small but incredible indoor black light mini golf course! It had full-on CGI (a wizard sends you on a quest!), and different holes triggered different FX.

We have talked about that for a few years. I thought you were already doing those Larry. I don't have the room for it at this time.

I think it will work if it was Zombie themed. Zombies are big now.
