  • Netherworld is MOVING! Check out this story!

    http://patch.com/georgia/norcross/ne...red-commission

The article claims they have already bought a new location and are planning to move.

Wow that is going to be a lot of work to move that sucker. Good luck guys.

Are they moving for 2017 or building a new haunted house?

We reported this several weeks ago on the Big Scary Show. Might have Ben on the show to discuss this after the Dec 7th meeting. We're continuing to follow it and will report new developments as they become available.

Definitely not moving. Adding a second event.

I don't think that is accurate. I think Netherworld doesn't need to add a second event there would be no point to that.

I think Ben will come on board here and let everyone know an update.

For the people that have actually picked up the phone and talked to Ben...I would say Larry is way off of this...they are NOT moving and the building is pending its not bought....but thats just me...actually asking Ben about it.

                Tater,

I think I know Ben very well. If you read the second story that was posted you'll see Netherworld had NO COMMENT! What do you think that means?

Obviously Netherworld doesn't want to discuss something that isn't finalized yet. They are still in a building, they don't have approval to open that business in the new location, takes time to move, many many factors here.

I think the NO COMMENT says everything... they don't want to discuss it until something is finalized.

So let me just say I think you're wrong and once they get all their ducks in a row they will come out and tell you exactly what they're doing. However I think the articles says it all...

Fact is I've been to their location and its terrible. They have no parking what so ever people park everywhere including in spots where people shouldn't park. Their building is only about 20,000 square feet I believe meaning the space they're using. So to go from that to a space where they could have 10 acres of parking, up to 60,000 square feet to grow and add other attractions, and near some really big tourist attraction sounds to me like a better location for their success. Lastly own a building opposed to lease one... hmmmm!

                    crazyness

This thread is no where near as crazy as a Missouri haunt that I kept hearing mixed stories on it moving to Indy from guarantees and promises to nothing!!

You're late to the game. We already got tickets headed there now. We're looking into doing something like this next year so we're checking out several. We also visited one in Nashville.

I did and it was amazing. They did groups of six and had a character use a rope to guide us through, to maintain spacing and make sure everyone got to look around and take in all of the sets.

I had wanted to visit Netherworld for a long time, definitely a bucket list haunt for me. It did not disappoint. Amazing sets.

Aside from queue/outdoor characters specifically themed for the event, it was just a regular haunt. That's what it was marketed as. The outside was festive with snow machines, lights and prop pieces decorated for Christmas, but the event itself wasn't a Christmas haunt. I personally didn't like the guides because I was in the front and it detracted from the "scares"...granted, in all the years I've been to netherworld it's been more about checking out the sets and not the scare.
