The best book by far is Kel's "So you want to be a Hauntrepenuer"....as for how to's...you will need to get alot of different ones...they all have some merit

For the how to: Kevin Mccurdy's Boo it yourself series. Im not jsut saying that because i work for him, but the information in the videos is good. you can find them at @ http://www.hauntedhousesupplies.com .

I have heard some real good things about kels book as well, for as far as the business aspect goes.

The best book for getting scary , cheap emplyees might be the "Book of The DEAD" and a handfull of tanna leaves.

At the risk of being very unpopular around here, I really did not like Kelly Allen's book.

I'd recommend Field of Screams by Michael Cruz, and of course you can't go wrong with free J.B. Corn books.

I think Kelly's book is more for the person just starting out. I think every book or DVD has valuable content but on what level you are at will depend on what it will offer you. If you've never opened a haunt in your life Kelly's book might be the best thing you'll ever buy, while on the other hand if you've been doing haunting for 20 years you might not find it as valuable.

I will tell you a good book is Ed Gannon's, we sell it on www.hauntedhousesupplies.com but some people shy away because its priced at $60.00. But I will say its very well done and helps you organize actors and handle customer problems very well.

As far videos... hmmm I'm not bragging but I think my favorite DVD I've seen so far was Hauntworld Movie 17. Those lights on tours are awesome way to learn, and you get two of them one from Darkness and another from Netherworld.

The tour of 13th Gate was awesome, just the whole entire DVD I thought was very good. My favorite Kevin McCurdy video was part one, but I also loved the one where he was Dr. Smith...not sure what # that one was. Rich Hanf videos are raw haunting, if you're trying to learn scares Rich will show you.

There is no question the more professional videos are Boneyards... they're always very well produced.
