  • Travel Channel Visits Spookywoods

I was just informed that the Travel Channel will be featuring Kersey
Valley Spookywoods as one of America's Best Haunts 2007. They will
be filming this Saturday night. The show will air multiple times
    through out October.

This year has been simply amazing for us so far. The PR haunted houses
got last season has continued to snow ball.

Photos of your haunt are so important, you never know if a producer
of a national TV show could be looking at your web site. So many
haunts don't take this simple step and rely on hype to sell their
show. The funny thing is I'm not even advertising on TV or Radio
this year and Spookywoods has been on TV more times and more Radio
    shows than ever this year.

The old saying is so true, pictures are worth a thousand words.

Hire a photographer and post those photos of your haunt not just your
actors. I would also like to incourage you to post reviews, I hear
it so many times that we chose to come to Spookywoods based of the
reviews on the website. It sounds so simple and it is. We started
posting reviews in 1996 and now have thousands of them people can see
what customer are saying. They are like money in the bank and really
a form of word of mouth.
    Tony Wohlgemuth,

Thanks for the post and congratulations on the coverage Tony! You've been an ongoing example of true professionalism to this industry my friend and it doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated!

An ongoing discussion for us at Eureka Screams has been, “Do we post pictures of our best new sets, actors in makeup, etc. or should we let it be a surprise?" You’ve answered that question with your post and we decided to go ahead and update our site with new pictures before we open tomorrow. You, as always, are a wealth of knowledge and you willingness to share is awesome! Thanks for all you do and enjoy your well deserved exposure and success!!!

There are alot of cheap people out there who will not bother to take the time and spend the $ to see a haunt if they can see alot of pictures of it on-line, but maybe the advantages outweigh the cheapskate factor?
I have had So many people remark that mere pictures do not do my place justice but then it is also the actual experience created by being here that will not adequately transfer from picture to the mind's memory bank.
          Free mention is always NICE!
The Ravens Grin Inn has recieved alot of it over the years and being open year-round allows me to take more advantage of the mentions, it's all "Money-In-The-Bank", I just caution anyone about ordering any new Ferrarris until you actually have the extra money in-hand from it all! hahahahahah!
          Every little bit helps!
          Still waiting for my Ferrarri-money!
(Maybe I'll get a Viper instead?)

Tony, that's great about the Travel Channel, I hope to get over this year myself. We are taking the year off for assorted reasons, losing location, my work schedule, etc. etc.

Gonna try to do your's and Cliffy's, are you open the weekend after Halloween?
