Hmmm, (nah, my spooky pants impression sucks)

Good morning, all. (nah, that sucks worse)

Hey everone, it had been brought to my attention recently that there was a little confusion as to what DAFE is. IAHA is an association for pro and amateur haunters alike, with the goal of providing a unified voice for them. Very unlike this, DAFE(Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts) is an organization of darkride fans ranging from housewives to amusement park owners. This is not my organization, nor am I on their board. I write an interview column(on a volunteer basis) for their quarterly publication "Barrel O' Fun", which in the past has featured the likes of Leonard Pickel, Drew Hunter, and Larry Kirchner.(you can read Larry's further down on the forum) I am a member because I am a huge darkride fan, and I enjoy the trips they organize with behind the scenes tours of classic darkrides.(they have a tour planned to tour Sally Corp.'s facility right before IAAPA this year!) They have even gotten together as a group to rehab old rides! I help promote them because they are a good group and just all-around good people. It's only 20 bucks to join, you should check out their site www.dafe.org.(or just click the link in my signature)

Another thing I had mentioned to me recently, upon asking someone I know who frequents HAM's board if they ever check out Hauntworld's forum, they told me no, because it's pretty much all people who are full of themselves and are know-it-alls.

Hopefully, you guys out there don't think of me in this way, I like to think I'll always consider myself as a never ending student of the game. I personally don't feel this way about any of you out there. I've seen some pretty bad displays before on the old forum, where you're a little less accountable, but not really here. What are you're guys' thoughts?

    Dan,
I too am always striving to learn new things and see what others are thinking. I frequest the HW old and new forums, as well as the HAM board equally as much. In that mix of regular surfing I also frequent www.ghostdroppings.com. I try to visit these at least once per day.

    On a less frequent basis I visit www.villageofdarkness.com, www.hauntboard.com, www.hauntershangout.com, www.hauntfreaks.com, www.halloweennation.com, and the new IAHA forum.

I find useful information and interesting people on all of them.

Besides the D.A.F.E. info, this post just seems to do nothing but attempt to start trouble.

      Just my opinion..

Barry, I've been to a couple of those, hauntboard a few times(were those guys at TW?) I'll check out those others you mentioned. That's one of the beautiful things about this industry, is how many characters there are out there, the internet is great for keeping us nutcases in touch!

Sorry frightwire, not trying to get any panties in a bunch here, just being frank. Not quite seeing what you find offensive.

            Jim, anxiously await your retort.

Dan, I spent way too much time today trying to figure out a simple door lock, so maybe you are right to call me a "retort"?

"Evil" Frank, the one "Bad-ghost" here , according to the Warlock-Psychic who visited here several years ago was making my backbone chill everytime I mentioned him during house tours, but this only lasted about two weeks.
Keeping "Evil-Frank" out of my part of this house(living quarters, if only I could live for just a quarter!?) was a concern of Mr. Warlock, my concern was keeping him from taking up residence in my underware drawer!
Forget "The Ghost in the Machine" Underware Drawers being haunted can set your whole day" wrong" from the moment you pull them up! "you walk "funny', people will remark, usually behind your back, without proper punctuation.
Next thing you know, just as you think that you have made a favorable impression concerning that new business deal or that romantic encounter, it's "Evil Frank! Frank and Beans! Ecotoplasm all over!

Maybe the caveman's animal-based loin cloth had the same sort of "It's Alive!" problems, probably it did...

That's what you get Jim, for thinking with "Evil Frank"....(he has a mind of his own)...."Evil Frank", "underwear puppets", and "spooky pants", OH MY!....OK dosen't have the same ring as the wizard of oz...Ignore the man behind the curtain!...(of course he'd be easier to ignore if he wasn't "tenting" the curtain!)...

So you are saying there are circus stakes and tent steaks?

The "Mess America" contestant who fails the "Bar-at-closing time test, not thick enough "Beer-Goggles!" Trim the bone and fat off that steak!

Were you in the front or the back-end of the horse costume, Joe?

Talking about "Know-it-allz!?" Why would anyone tap their fingers on the keys and hit "Post" to say, "I Dunno?" ??
I think most people on message boards are there to actually help someone, somehow.
Sort of like the little kid who's just been through the haunted house, then comes back through again and thinks he's being "Helpful" by pointing out everything just before it happens so people don't get scared.
Of course some kids do this to be "Know-it-allz"!!
It's all just a vicious circle! Bite my butt! (and I guess that would be your butt I'm chewing on, ah! The wonderous invention of the circle!)

                              Life Lesson

                              Joe,

Joe is there a lesson I am missing on a horse porn forum!

Jim, how funny you mention about the little boy thast keeps going back in time after time. We had a kid like that last year, one night 5 times, about 12 times through out the season.

So after finding out who he was, and watching him become our official tour guide, I thought I give him a scare and some of my actors that night that deserved it.

Long story short...I grabbed this kid, threw him around, freaked everyone out, he was a good sport about it...after it was all done..(had the kid parents permission)....then I had one of my actors to come out front because the police were there, because this kid I just threw around with mutiple witness's...just blamed him for doing it...when our actor came out I had the kid point my actor out as the culprit.....even with makeup on,you could see my actors face turn pale....he vows his revengence on me.

The moral of all my rabbling, it is fun to have fun with Know-it-alls!
                              Frank
