  • Santa's Village / Winter Wonderland

    Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone has done, or been to, a Christmas attraction, like a "Santa's Village" or something.

I'm thinking of doing one. It would be set up with numerous attractions such as, a horse and buggy ride, a Christmas light display, a tour of Santa's house (there could be cool scenes in it like the workshop, mail room, "santa tracker control room", etc.), and food and game tents.

Does anyone have any websites to suggest? Maybe another forum?

I know the Halloween season isn't even over yet, but I would like to have your thoughts on this.

    Thanks!

I went to Santas Village once and had a blast. It was soooo much fun. That was maybe 3 years ago.

      Great Topic'
I'm going on the theory,"If you build it' They will come"
This will be our first year,to have a small Light show synchronized to music.(15k-20k)
      lights.
So Far, the response from the community is great.
We've got a 1/4 mile loop road,we'll be using. more of a walking trail.(no cars)
The big question. How to make money from it.?
Most shows around here are free. I guess food concessions!
Maybe the guys from JingleBell Fest can jump in here. with help..

"Making Money From A Christmas display"
A park in Clinton Iowa is located on the edge of a cliff, basically, no one can see the park from anyplace else so they charge admission to the whole park to see the light displays that they put up all over the park grounds.
They charge by the car load.
