Gotta love foam latex

The newspaper came out for some dressing room pics this week. For our movie characters, we use full head foam latex masks rather than dealing with prosthetics. This picture reminded me of just how good they really look. I love the new silicone masks, and they are awesome, but don't forget the virtues of good old foam latex. This shot is no makeup on the face whatsoever, just pull it on and go. Moves with the actor's face completely...why mess with prosthetics.

You can make them yourself. Just start with a prosthetic face and build the mask from there.
