USA Today! Awesome job Larry! That's some incredible advertising for the Darkness! It doesn't get much better than that!

    The Credit goes to IAHA...

This is what IAHA has done for the industry. High time people start joining!

    Great write up! Congratulations Larry!

Just curious, but what was the IAHA's actual involvement? Did they contact USA Today to suggest the story or did USA Today contact the IAHA? Did the IAHA recommend "The Darkness" as the haunt to visit?

Perhaps these questions about the IAHA belong in a different thread.

Great writeup. I haven't been through The Darkness yet, but I might be taking a trip up there next year...I will definitely have to check it out.

While I was president of IAHA, I convinced the board to help launch a national PR effort, to lure POSITIVE publicity for the haunted house industry. The total effort cost about $30,000.00, of which IAHA paid for a little less than half. The other half was paid for by 8 different haunted houses including, Erubus, Netherworld, The Darkness, Bates Motel, Headless Horseman, Haunted Castle, Niles Haunted House, and Eastern State Penn.

So far there have been MANY stories printed about the industry even in local markets. For years people have been saying that IAHA doesn't do anything for the haunted house industry. Now they have...

The current board, including the current President backed the program and it went forward!
