    Sceam Cube

We will be buying a scream cube, probably at MWH (hoping you are there) . It is exactly what we need for at least one of our characters that we built ourselves. Just didn't do justice with our own sound system. Was happy to be able to hear it in person.

    Thanks

      Hmmm, really?
And what about us who have been next to them for 4 years?
Thats why I brought an amp and wireless mic set up, and was still hoarse.

      Worst for me:
Seeing your product ripped off as a Chinese knock off, and watching the ripoff-ees jump for cover as you come by the booth....
Then having many people come up to you and say "I bought your gun last year, and it doesnt work"
Asking which model and having them say "I don't see it here, but it has a spiderweb on the case"
"That is not one of our guns, sorry you had a bad experience because of it."
......I have to apologize for the #@^&s ???

      Worst about Vegas:
      Too f-ing expensive all around.
Being screwed on our hotel reservations.
Having SES or freeman try to screw us for $159 after lying to us about which air fitting was on their hoses, my cost to adapt, 1.39 at home depot.

      Best props:
      dunknow....
I really wish I had more time to actual see and experience the show, I was out of booth for all of 20 minutes until wednesday and only 1.5 hours then.
Kudos to a number of exhibitors, I am proud to be in the same biz from the sheer imagination I saw in that little time to run about.

      Best about the show:
      High Ceilings and 50' cobwebs.

      Best about Vegas:
Jack in the Box (hadn't had in 25 yrs) proximity to some great parks.
Pressing flesh with everyone I havent seen in 12 months.
      Leaving Vegas!

        Best/Worst of TWLV

I'll jump in with a few...

Best new prop - The Fright Dome folks had some pretty good looking props, especially for their first time out. Oak Island had some cool new ideas as well.

Worst new prop - In not wanting to hurt anyone’s feelings, I'll only make mention of this: The worst (in my opinion) were the ultra loud air cannons. Air cannons can be effective, but louder doesn't necessarily mean better. Those two guys thought it was absolutely hilarious when people bent over near the cannon or got down by the cannon and they could blast it right at ear level. Over and over, I saw those guys laughing at how funny they thought it was. Have fun with those.

Best about show - I didn't really see any advantages of having it in LV other than the weather.

Worst about show - Emptiness and attendance. We saw a few new vendors, but it seemed as though more MIA than new comers.

Best about Vegas - There's always something to do

Worst about Vegas - the smoke filled casinos, expensive food and cab fares

Best new prop - Scarefactory Walkers and the T-Rex
Worst new prop - Damn loud compressor thing in booth across from distortions
Best about show - not to far from my room shuttle or monorail
Worst about show - concessions were very high priced
Best about Vegas - winning $$$$$, spending some time with friends and fellow haunters
Worst about Vegas - very exspensive from last time I was there

Wow I hear a lot of people talking about how expensive Vegas is. You guys need some Vegas Ed

First, don't buy or do anything on the strip. Way to expensive.

Second, if you use a cab (I rarely do) tell cab where you are going and you don't want a tour. If they still give you a tour then write down the cab# and company. Your hotel will give you the address to the state transportation department. Every time I've complained I've receved a refund in a few weeks. Always get a schedule of the monorails, bus or shuttle. It will save you TONS of money.

Third, go to resturants off strip like on Flamingo St. 1/2 the cost and just as good. Why pay for a name. We went with a condo and cooked in. Saved tons of money and it was quite for friends to come relax at.

Fourth, understand you are in a town designed to take all your money away from you. For cheap entertainment goto Fremont Street; especially on St. Patricks Night

Sheesh, doesn't anybody know the the Strip is designed to fleece winning gamblers from their winnings. GET OFF THE STRIP!

Good inexpensive buffets, Any of the Stations, Palace Station, Boulder Station and the best, Sunset Station.

Best stromboli around; The Four Kegs on 80th Street.

Good burgers at reasonable prices and short distance from Sands Expo; Shake n' Burger at the food court in the Venetian.

And there was the Super Walmart on Boulder Ave. near the 215.

And a restaurant on the Strip that was medium priced with good food was the Peppermill near the Rivera casino.

It's just a matter of knowing where to look.

I see a lot of people talking about that hopping octopus. It's cool and all, but it's not really haunted house related is it? Unless you are doing an ocean theme of some sort, I guess someone who does a Pirate theme and creates a faux ocean, that's the only place it would fit....

I really liked that Scarefactory stuff, and Unit 70, and Oak Island had nice things. I loved the distortions Krazy Kristen and the head crusher illusion, electric chair costume and the huge Wizard head was AWESOME, no one even mentioned that one yet surprisingly.

The costumes from Gore Galore were very impressive but I must have missed the scream cube thing. There were other awesome costume vendors there as well!

There wasn't much about the Vegas experience that I didn't like, lots to do around the time in the convention.

Distortions did have some nice things, as always, and the Wizard was nice. They should bring back many of their old pieces to the show, that haven't been seen in years. Maybe they can update some and bring those...

The first thing I thought when I saw it was I wondered how hard it would be to turn it into a spider or tarantula, or some sort of creature. It looks like the legs are necessary to make it work, so a tarantula with thick legs, just in different positions, would work.
