Has anyone ever thought of designing a light bulb that strobes, seems like they make ficker bulbs ect, it would be neat to just put in a strobe light bulb instead of buying a reg strobe light, just a thought for the ele eng out there,

They sell them in several colors...I think they are called strobe eggs.
They are not too bright and you can't adjust the speed of the strobe but they are good for small scenes. -

There was once a product sold that was a "button" you would insert into a light socket before screwing in the bulb.
It would allow the bulb to act normally but if you quickly turned the light off and on a few times it would then blink the light off and on automatically after that.
This device was made for an elderly person's porch light so they could possibly summon a neighbor for help in the event of an emergency.
I bought two of them, they are still working 15? years later.
Almost a strobe but only costing under $2.00 with non-strobe feature of a constant light on.Comment
