  • Witches (sort of off topic)

As haunters we incorporate antiquated mythologies and superstitions into our shows in order to entertain. What I find scary is the fact that to some people in the world, those superstitions that we laugh at are still dangerously apart of their belief system…

Wow, don't take their photo! They'll think you stole their soul.

That's really sad. There was a similar incident in India recently, where a woman accused of being a witch was tied to a tree and then beaten and killed.

Just proves they are a couple hundred years behind the rest of the civilized world....

If they decided to burn normal people to death for being witches, it makes me wonder how they would react to Haunters. LOL.

Many of the people coming through The Ravens Grin from 3rd world countrys are Very Nervous people.
But then growing up hungry, maybe seeing the police or army kidnap and execute your innocent family members might make all of us sort of like that?
A swirl of dust comes down the street ("Dust Devil") and some of these people run and hide under their bed.
            Pretty sad.

This country has plenty of radical, simple-minds. Just because they have their meetings in impressive, large buildings really doesn't change this fact.
Very little keeps some of them from just doing as they please with us, our lives our livelyhood.

              A side note....

I belong to a paranormal investigative group called Society for Paranormal Research and Investigation www.spriparanormal.com and one of my jobs with them is as a specialist in pagan religions. I hold some fairly radical religious beliefs myself. This case is really not much different than Nazi Germany or the Holy Wars. It's simply using a belief system and bending it to match your needs. Not getting on a soapbox. This is sad and it's far scarier than anything WE can come up with.

I have a wiccan priest who lives across the street from me. He dresses normal, looks normal. Well normal as almost anybody. He told fortunes at my haunt one year. It was pretty cool. Harmless fun. Everybodys different.
