  • AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions - Huge UK Summer Haunt

Hi Fellow Haunters across the pond!

AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions is currently producing 'HEX in the Harvest' - the UK's first outdoor summer haunt on a 6 acrea cornfield plot. We have just completed a trailer which we wanted to show you guys to see what you think! and also to ask for some help. We keep seeing mention of 'shaker cans' but can;t find out exactly what these are and how we can get them, any help would be very much appreciated.

    Take a look:

Anyone who can help can send us an email info@atmosfearuk.com

    Happy Haunting!

      shaker cans

Get a can of chili - open the can 6/8 of the way open - dump the chili into a pot -set the can aside with the lid down to avoid injury - heat chili to simmer-pour the chili into bowl-add crackers-eat chili- place bowl in sink - here is where it gets tricky - you have two options based on your skill - get 6-8 quarter size or for you guys over there 10 pence size washers - place washers into can -if you have the ability close lid and weld or run a small bead of solder around can top -if you can't solder or weld take the old reliable duct tape and wrap the can top to reseal - if you can solder it is still a good idea to take some thick cotton string and wraop in a loop around the can for a wrist strap for the actor - place wrist strap around wrist grasp can in hand and shake violently . _Caution -a loud rattling noise should be heard -do not be alarmed if there is no noise you just forgot to put the washers in
brought to you by your friends at the Fright Factory -PS the first minute of you promo staring at the tree is a snore fest

My Grandfather Warfield Made Then right!

As a boy in the 1890's he made "shaker cans" that weren't quite "cans" but boy did they scare people!
They were a very small glass bottle with a real rattlesnake rattle in them.
Rattlesnakes were still common around here then.
Loud they weren't but very scary right behind you!
Even though the rattle dried up it still made that distinctive sound.
We still had some of these up until just a few years ago, they still worked .

          Shaker Can

          Amendment 1 Section 1

In Step four of the above post if you are making your own shaker cans- DO NOT FORGET TO RINSE CAN- if you don't the rotting chili sealed in the can will muffle the effect.
