A quick sincere question about the polling system here, and I'm posting it here because I'm tired of thinking that ChrisGM has just posted a new message every time somebody votes in this poll.

Anyway, I've only voted in one poll, and until I did vote, I could view the poll results and see which members had voted which way. As soon as I voted, I could no longer see how anyone else voted. To me, it seems that encourages people NOT to vote. If you don't vote, you can continue to see how everyone else votes. I think you should continue to see how everyone else votes even after you have voted. Is that how all polls are set up? I don't know since I usually don't vote in them. Thanks for your input.

OK, I think I figured it out. After I have voted, if I click on the number of people who voted for a given item, then it shows all of the people who voted which way.

Since this is the first year of our haunt, we've been scrambling to get everything ready.... like grabbing sponsors... and building on the site. We'll start airing our TV and radio commercials around the end of September... but we've already started posting youtube clips and have our myspace page in full swing (while waiting on our regular website to get finished). We'll also have a "history" website that relates to the "rumors" around our tavern and campground. Hopefully everything will kick into full swing around the middle of September.

Well, I'm glad to see that pretty much everyone who voted is promoting their events before October.

As I am always preaching.. Post your information early! Online directories are just like billboards. If your event info is in a Haunt Database longer, more people will see it! I can’t believe how long some people will wait to advertise their event.

I find it interesting that about 40% of the events that submitted their information to the Haunted Illinois Halloween Event Database did so AFTER October 1st last year. One guy even submitted his event on October 27th!

It's good to know that you guys are thinking ahead.
