  • myspace/facebook for your character

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a facebook and myspace for our lead character. I created it just fine, im just trying to think of things to say in the about me sections and not make it sound too "corny". Do any of you have one that I can take a look at?

    thanks

This was a big part of our branding this year -

    http://www.myspace.com/scarehousedaphnie

    http://www.myspace.com/scarehousedelirium

    http://www.myspace.com/dierectorbrunrichter

The music you hear on the first 2 was created specifically for us by "Delirium Dog" (who also created the STAY track featured in our 2008 trailer) -- http://www.myspace.com/deliriumdog

The woman who sings STAY, by the way, also provides the voice of "Daphnie" on her profile and within the actual attraction.

Do you guys use a program on myspace to get that many friends? or how do you go about friending others, or do myspacers take it upon themselves to friend your characters? Thanks!

I know that programs exist - but I've always been leery of using them. All of the friends added to our various myspace profiles were done by me personally.

I'll spend the spring and early summer firing off epic amounts of friend requests -- then from June on I'm pretty much just approving requests.

The annual burst of outgoing friend requests often helps me find new talent and resources for ScareHouse as well, which is an added bonus. One of our 3-d murals is by a local artist I found while adding friends to Delirium's myspace page.

The trick is to really plan ahead and develop your myspace presence well in advance (which was a great bit of advice I received from Ricky Dick)
