Three weeks ago my son broke the middle joint of his
left hand pinky in gym class. With a cast on his writing
hand good ol' Dad became his personal scribe.

I relived the hell that is Algebra... I'm actually
considering a haunt designed around my experiences!

Anyhoo... we returned to the doctor tonight and had his
cast removed. The follow up X-ray and exam showed
that Shane's pinky had healed weird.

My boy has to go in tomorrow to have the finger re-broke
and a long wired inserted through the entire
length of his little finger bones to hold it in place.

When asked if he wanted to be put out or undergo the
procedure with a local Shane chose the local.

    He wants to watch!!!

Oh dear Lord what have I created?

He sounds like a strong kid, and possibly a future leader.
    Good luck to you guys!

If you could throw a calculus room in there, I don't think I could handle that. hahaha

The future generation of haunters is looking bright, I'd say.

    Oh, wow!

Tell Shane my prayers are with him. He's a strong kid, but then...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

We'll keep the procedure for Shane in our thoughts and prayers. Sounds like he's got the mind of a haunter too! I wonder where he gets that???

Each of my "pinky" fingers has an extra nob at the main knuckle from playing high school football. What with piercings, strange hair cuts and a plethora of tatoos being so common, is he SURE he wants to have a normal looking finger again?
He starts flashing that messed up finger around all of his buddies will want to have one like it!
He could design a finger-breaking machine and make millions riding high on the crest of the wave of the new fashion...for at least awhile.

Will that make his pinky "poseable" like those toy action figures?
