  • Congrads to Niles Haunted House... Read on

    http://www.wsbt.com/news/local/35651374.html

Click on that link for a story that shows Niles haunted house raised over $100,000 for local charity groups. I believe the way they do this is all the actors are from charity groups and this is how they earn the money for their charity.

I don't think they pay their actors, they use charity groups and they work for the money for local charity groups. This is a pretty cool way to get actors and raise money for local charity groups.

Over 100,000.00 is a lot of money!

    Good job!

That is correct. A friend of a friend does makeup/costuming there and they have all sort of groups come in and volunteer.
It has its disadvantages though. I went there opening weekend two years ago and it was the local high school's girls softball team. I have never been so bored in a haunted house.
    I've never been back since.

      Monies for charities

Pete and his group do a great job at Niles Haunted house.. They came down during our event this past season and we really got to know those guys pretty well!!
      Just and FYI Larry..
Atrox has been doing this for years (10) to be exact. We've given out close to a million dollars to local 501-C3 organizations...

This is a great way to get some good people involved.. We also employ a cast of 60 actors during the month..

        Girls' Softball team

I wouldn't find a girls' softball team boring (for obvious reasons).

ROTFLMAO, Dam Jim you got me with that one!
Laughed so hard i scared my cat out of the room!
            NICE!

And Congrads to the gang at Niles and every other haunt that does there acting crews this way, this has to be a logistical nightmare having different people to count on every weekend, it's hell just getting regulars to show up every night!

So.......basically, you have spent your life looking down girls' shirts until you realized that they were not in high school, but actually 8-year-olds?

                  No specifics were given

Since when do high schools recruit 8 years olds on their soft ball teams?
