Wire interferance

In an attempt to centralize my controls I am considering moving all boo boxes and alike to a central room. I would like to cut down on the number of cable runs by utilizing an 8 stran wire, Sensors (ort buttons), sound and solenoid output. Have any of you done this and did you experience any issues with interference from on output/input to another?

The Ford Motor Co. did!

They ran a low voltage wire next to a high voltage wire and the current went messing with the cruise control? Right through the insulation.
