Thanks Midnight Evil and everyone on the congrats! Yup, I'm a grandma....BUT I STILL LOOK GOOD! In fact, the nurse couldn't figure out how I knew what color the mother's eyes were when she was a baby, so she asked "Um...are you her sister?" I thanked her for the early Christmas gift to me and told her that the woman in the bed was my daughter. She couldn't believe it. And to think...I don't use Oil of Olay or nuthin'.
My granddaughter's name is Rayne. Rayne Tyler Moore.... (rain more)...ooooh, I can hear the school kids right now. I'll be posting pics very soon.
I decided quite a few months ago that my granddaughter would call me "Grandma Boo." It fits me perfectly and it's a pretty cool name, to boot.
When I visited her and my daughter in the hospital yesterday, she was crying. It hurt my heart to hear her. My daughter had her on her chest rubbing her back. She was gassy. I asked her if she thought to rub her tummy. The answer was no, so I took her, put her in the crib, took off the blankets and rubbed her cute little tum tum....immediate silence. Then I wrapped her back up, sat in a comfy chair and before I knew it, she was sleep. What a dear sweet little precious. Ladies and Gentlemen...this is one of those things that make life all right......
BTW....
It's GRANDMA BOO. Not "Granny." I'm too young to be called a "Granny." Besides, I don't like it much. I think that's why Midnight Evil calls me that. Some folks are just plain evil.
